So Many Taps, So Little Time!

So Many Taps, So Little Time!

Contemporary, traditional, mixer, spout, low pressure taps, high pressure disc technology taps; who knew there were so many options when it comes to choosing a simple tap to top off your bathroom design.
Taps can complement or contrast your chosen bathroom design. Choosing from bath filler taps, shower mixer taps or even wall mounted options, the plethora of taps on offer ensures you can find the tap that not only blends in with your bathroom design but crucially also meets the needs of your family.
There’s so many different taps to choose from, we've provided a quick guide to the different types to help you tap dance through the tap tangle.

Basin Mixer taps allow both the hot and the cold water to be drawn at the same time through one tap – often through one control that moves left or right for hot and cold water. These simple and stylish streamlined mixer taps make best use of space (you only have one tap) and create a clutter-free and minimalist accent to the room.

Bath filler taps – just like basin mixers run the hot and cold through one outlet. Perfect for the streamlined bathroom setting, they work well when the bath is set in and can be positioned on the side of the bath, leaving the header and footer clear so you can sink back and rest your weary head letting bubbles melt away the stresses of the day.
And don’t forget – the first thing you always need to check when choosing your taps is your water pressure. Different taps will respond different ways with the water pressure you have in your home.
If the water pressure in your house is quite low, you need to ensure you pick the taps that will work with that pressure or it could take hours for your bath to fill.
Some contemporary designed taps contain a valve that requires a high pressure water system in order to operate maximum efficiency.
This does include taps which have ‘ceramic disc technology’. It’s worth doing your homework before you make your final purchase – as there is nothing worse than your bathroom looking beautiful but not operating as a functional space to meet the needs of you and your family.
Bath shower mixers combine the shower function and bath filler taps so that you can choose between bath or shower depending on your mood. Of course this often means that your shower and bath will share the same– which is great in a bathroom where space is a challenge. It doesn't mean you have to compromise on style.
The Shower Tablet Select takes the bath shower mixer to a whole new technological level in the bathroom. It can be used by two people and has select-able jet types so you can choose the flow of water to wake you up in the morning.
