Basin Mixer taps allow both the hot and the cold water to be drawn at the same time through one tap – often through one control that moves left or right for hot and cold water. Bath filler taps – just like basin mixers run the hot and cold through one outlet. Perfect for the streamlined bathroom setting, they work well when the bath is set in and can be positioned on the side of the bath, leaving the header and footer clear so you can sink back and rest your weary head letting bubbles melt away the stresses of the day.

And don’t forget – the first thing you always need to check when choosing your taps is your water pressure. Different taps will respond different ways with the water pressure you have in your home.

If the water pressure in your house is quite low, you need to ensure you pick the taps that will work with that pressure or it could take hours for your bath to fill.

Some contemporary designed taps contain a valve that requires a high pressure water system in order to operate maximum efficiency.
